The initial 60 minute consultation is a time to meet with Dr. Eakin or Annalee, NP to discuss your medical history and present concerns, order and review labs, and set goals. Together we will develop an individualized treatment plan that includes specific recommendations regarding diet and exercise, mind-body practices, and herbs/supplements (if appropriate). Our goal is to minimize your medication needs and maximize your health and well-being.

Coeur Wellness addresses many of the same issues managed through primary care. However, our approach differs significantly. Unlike the traditional primary care model which emphasizes prescription medications and band-aid solutions, we provide professional guidance, practical tools, and community support to help you safely and appropriately decrease your medication use and improve your overall health and well-being. We believe in addressing chronic disease at its foundational level. Conditions that benefit from our approach include but are not limited to:
Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease
Gastrointestinal issues including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chronic constipation, and increased intestinal permeability ("leaky gut")
Allergies, asthma and autoimmune conditions
Women's health concerns including polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), heavy and/or painful periods, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and menopause
Mental health concerns including depression and anxiety
Please note that Coeur Wellness does not provide primary care. You are encouraged to have a Primary Care Provider (PCP) for routine care (such as annual physicals) as well as for acute illness/injury. In addition, please keep your PCP informed of any changes to your lifestyle habits, health status, or medication regimen.
Coeur Wellness does not accept insurance. This allows us to provide the type of care we feel you need without the undue influence of a third party. However, a superbill will be provided at each visit which can then be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Payment is due in full at the time of service. Debit and credit cards are accepted.
Lab testing is used judiciously to more fully understand your state of health, but effort will be made to keep care as cost-effective as possible. Much of the testing done may be covered by your insurance, though coverage cannot be guaranteed. The cost of laboratory testing is not included in the price of your services. If you have had labs performed elsewhere recently (ideally within the last few months), we are more than happy to work with these results rather than repeating testing unnecessarily. Please bring these results with you to your appointment.
